The Pirate Forge Calico Bowie, a badass piece of craftsmanship. This piece boasts a hand-forged, 500-layer random pattern deathmascus pattern, complemented by polished brass pins and exquisite black maple scales. The bowie features a striking dark etch with blacked-out perimeters, making it as visually commanding as it is functional.  This blade was polished up to a mirror finished and then etched in ferric acid for several cycles to relief the pattern. To give it that dark aged patina it  sat in a coffee etch for over 30 hours. It features mid blade flat grinds, a razor sharp 1000 grit mirror polished edge, forged texture flats, deep engraved "Grail" touchmark, and Pirate Forge engraving.   Comes with custom made Right Handed belt loop sheath shown in listing pictures.  The sheath features a Real Oak snake skin inlay.  This snake was found repeatedly in my chicken coop eating eggs and harrasing my chickens.  That is what got him turned into sheath material. Just an interesting back story on the snake.  The sheath was meticulously crafted with a blend of hand and machine stitching and reinforced with hand hammered copper rivets. It was then hand stained to give it that old worn leather look. It also features laser engraved branding on the rear of the sheath. A true handforged piece that can be past down for countless future generations.
