Hand Forged Battle Wakizashi

Hand forged from a piece of 80crv2 high carbon steel.  Using my hand hammer, power hammer, and hydaulic press I took a much smaller piece of steel and forged it out into the sword you see here!  Upsetting the workpiece I was able to achieve a 3/8" thick medial spine that tapers distally toward the tip. Just an epic Pirate Forge piece! This battle ready powerhouse of a Waki features flat ground primary bevels, fullers, forged scale flats, engraved "Grail Mark", engraved Pirate Forge on spine, hand forged steel Tsuba, and a hair splittling mirror polished edge!  This is not just some wall hanger, this is battle ready.  It features an extensive in house heat treat giving it fine grain that will take and hold a fine edge as well as stand up to great impact!  The handle is weathered reclaimed Oak wood with the "RElic" recessed fit up.  I take the wood through a process of exposing the grain texture as well as antiqueing it and then sealing it so that it can stand up against the elements. The wood alone on this thing is a sight to behold.   The handle is held in place with GFlex Marine grade epoxy and hollow copper pins.  The entire spine as well as the handle pins have been antiqued and weathered. This sword comes with custom made leather sheath shown in pictures.  The Sheath features the exclusive Pirate Forge "Reptillian" texturing, hammered copper pins, black stitching, detachable frog belt loop attachment, as well leather retention snap.
