Handforged from 80crv2 High Carbon Steel.  The "Yote" is one of our Native American Style blades.    Both smiths here at pirate forge are Native pensacola born Residents with Native American Lineage so I plan to have more of these style blades in the future.. But getting back to the Yote... this blade features flat ground primary bevels, fullers, Pirate Forge Indian Skull touchmark, Spine file work, forged finish flats, with a two tone blade finish!  The handle is reclaimed maple wood in the "Relic" recessed fit up.  The handle features engravings around the entire perimeter and fixed with hollow copper pins/marine grade epoxy.  This unique piece comes with a Real Alligator skin leather sheath.  The gator was legally harvested here off the Escambia river by us then skinned out in the driveway and salt tanned.  Its not everyday you see the artist actually hunt, kill, skin, tan, and then use alligator skin on their sheaths.  Its just part of what we do here at Pirate Forge.  We are the Real Deal.  If you've been around for a while im sure youve already figured that out.  The sheath features heavy veg tanned leather, black stitching, hammered copper rivets, and a frog style right handed belt loop attachment with engravings/hot branding art. ( see pics) I then topped the piece off with a real Coyote bone lanyard bead. I smoked this Yote with my 300 blackout several months back.  I polished the bone then did some pyrography (hot burning) artwork on it. This blade sheath package is a really  unique piece of functional art.
